Vision
We envision a world of justice, peace, equality and freedom. This includes a community where differences are respected, conflicts are addressed peacefully, and supportive structures are developed. It is a community where people are empowered and live in harmony with the earth, nurtured by traditions that foster compassion and reconcilliation.
Purpose
Through open inquiry, education, and nonviolent direct action, the Peace and Justice Center of Nevada County honors the essential power of people in community. We nurture peace, justice and dignity in ourselves, our community and our earth.

Peace Recruiting
Our mission is to promote a culture of peace in our schools. We visit high school campuses to provide information and resources on careers, further education and realities of military service so that each student has complete information to choose their future.
Peace Events
We host peace events including Give Peace a Song, Students Meet Activists and our booth at the Nevada County Fair to promote peace and justice in our community. We celebrate our connections with those who work for peace and justice around the world.
